Internacional nears announcement of Niclas Eliasson signing
Swedish attacker Niclas Eliasson is traveling to Porto Alegre to join the Brazilian football club Internacional. The 30-year-old player, who holds Brazilian nationality through his mother, is being transferred from the Greek club AEK.
The agreement is structured as a loan until June 30, 2027, with Internacional paying 300,000 euros for the term. The deal includes an option to purchase the player permanently for approximately 3 million euros. Eliasson is expected to undergo medical examinations before finalizing his contract.
Technical director Abel Braga has expressed optimism regarding the signing, specifically noting Eliasson’s ability to deliver precise crosses from the right flank. The club is seeking reinforcement in this position following the injury of Kayky. If medical procedures are completed successfully, Eliasson may be available for selection as early as the match against Atlético Mineiro on Saturday, June 22.
