Nico Carrillo releases negative drug test results following Superbon call-out

Nico Carrillo, the ONE Championship featherweight Muay Thai champion, has released official anti-doping documentation to refute allegations made by kickboxing champion Superbon Singha Mawynn. The dispute began during a media scrum in Bangkok, where Superbon publicly questioned whether Carrillo could be drug-tested.

In response, Carrillo shared a letter from ONE Championship dated August 26. The document confirms that an in-competition test administered on August 15 in Bangkok—the same night Carrillo defeated Zhou Jiaqiang at Lumpinee Stadium—returned a negative result. The letter, verified by ONE senior vice-president of medical services Dr. Warren Wang, stated that no prohibited substances or methods under the current WADA list were detected.

Carrillo’s coach, JP Gallacher, also participated in the exchange, criticizing Superbon’s comments while re-sharing the negative test results. The tension between the two champions follows Carrillo’s recent transition into kickboxing and adds momentum to a potential matchup between the Muay Thai and kickboxing titleholders.
