Nico De la Cruz honored by Flamengo for 100 appearances

Flamengo midfielder Nico De la Cruz was honored by the club on Monday, October 19, with a commemorative shirt marking his 100th appearance for the team. The tribute was presented by football director José Boto.

De la Cruz reached the milestone on October 11 during a 1-0 victory against Fluminense in the Brasileirão. Since joining Flamengo from River Plate in 2024 for a $16 million release fee, the Uruguayan midfielder has recorded four goals and seven assists. His tenure has included seven titles, including the Copa do Brasil, Supercopa do Brasil, Libertadores, and Brasileirão, though his playing time has been impacted by a chronic right knee injury.
