Nico Elvedi reaches personal terms with Leeds United

Swiss international defender Nico Elvedi has reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with Leeds United. The 29-year-old Borussia Mönchengladbach player is seeking a move to the Premier League, with reports suggesting a contract through 2029 has been agreed upon.

While personal terms are settled, formal club-to-club negotiations regarding a transfer fee are still ongoing. Leeds is expected to prepare an opening bid shortly. Borussia Mönchengladbach is reportedly open to discussing a sale, as Elvedi is under contract through 2027 and the club may find a lucrative summer transfer more beneficial than allowing him to approach the final year of his deal.

Elvedi, who has spent a decade at Gladbach, would reunite with manager Daniel Farke, who previously coached him during the 2022/23 season. The move may be linked to Leeds' potential departure of Sebastiaan Bornauw.
