Nico González signs long-term contract extension with Juventus until 2030
Juventus has officially announced a long-term contract extension for Argentine international Nico González, securing his stay in Turin until June 30, 2030. The 28-year-old attacker, who joined the club in 2024, had previously spent the 2025/2026 season on loan at Atlético Madrid. Although a permanent move to the Spanish side was considered a possibility during the summer, González returned to Italy and earned a central role in the squad under manager Luciano Spalletti.
The new agreement includes a salary adjustment, with reports indicating a net wage of approximately 3.7 million euros per season plus bonuses. Beyond the technical benefits of securing a versatile offensive player, the extension serves a strategic financial purpose for Juventus. By extending the contract duration, the club can better manage the amortization of his transfer value and benefit from Italian tax incentives such as the 'Decreto Crescita'.
González has demonstrated his value early in the current season, scoring two goals in his first five appearances. The club highlighted his ability to provide 'unpredictability and tactical versatility' in attack, noting his importance both on and off the pitch.
