Nico Hülkenberg avoids hitting mechanic during pit stop

During the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, Audi driver Nico Hülkenberg narrowly avoided a serious accident during a pit stop in round 35. Following a tire change under a virtual safety car, the pit light prematurely turned green, signaling Hülkenberg to depart while a mechanic was still positioned at the front left of the car to attend to the front wing.

Hülkenberg reacted instantly by braking, preventing a potential collision that could have resulted in injury to the staff member. Audi released a statement confirming that the mechanic remained uninjured and was able to participate in all subsequent pit stops for the team.
