Nico Hülkenberg confirms 2027 drive with Audi F1 team

German driver Nico Hülkenberg said there are "no question marks" for his future with the Audi works Formula 1 team and that he will continue to race for them in 2027. He confirmed the multi‑year deal in the paddock at Spa‑Francorchamps before the Belgian Grand Prix, adding that teammate Gabriel Bortoleto will also remain with Audi.

Hülkenberg, 38, noted that he signed the contract after driving for Sauber in 2025 and that the terms are clear, though details were not disclosed. He dismissed speculation that Carlos Sainz might replace him, saying a reserve‑driver seat is available but he does not know if Sainz is interested. The driver is still awaiting his first points with Audi in his inaugural season.

The statements underline Audi’s commitment to a German driver line‑up as the team builds its presence in the sport’s top tier.
