Nico Hülkenberg discusses career longevity ahead of São Paulo Grand Prix

Formula 1 driver Nico Hülkenberg has stated he has no long-term plans regarding his racing career, noting that his continued participation depends on enjoyment and performance. The 39-year-old German driver, who is currently preparing for a move to Audi, emphasized that while staying in the sport is possible, he is not using Fernando Alonso as a benchmark for longevity.

Ahead of the Grand Prix in São Paulo, Hülkenberg reflected on his connection to the Interlagos circuit, where he secured his only career pole position in 2010. He also addressed his role as a veteran teammate to Gabriel Bortoleto, noting that while he does not view himself as a father figure, they maintain a good rapport.

Regarding his work with Audi, Hülkenberg expressed the need for patience as the team undergoes development, acknowledging that while progress has been made, many challenges remain.
