Nico Hülkenberg faces technical issues at Austin Grand Prix

Formula 1 driver Nico Hülkenberg experienced a frustrating weekend during the United States Grand Prix in Austin. Despite starting in 11th position after missing Q3, Hülkenberg was hindered by a technical malfunction during the race start.

The Audi driver reported that his car unexpectedly engaged the anti-stall system shortly after the lights went out. This system is designed to prevent the engine from stalling by shifting to neutral when RPMs drop too low, but Hülkenberg noted the issue occurred while he was maintaining constant RPMs and had already gained momentum. The malfunction caused a sudden loss of propulsion, preventing him from challenging for a top-10 finish despite showing competitive pace throughout the race.

Prior to the race, Hülkenberg spent time in Austin with German decathlete and Olympic silver medalist Leo Neugebauer, who provided a tour of his hometown.
