Nico Paz chooses Como over Real Madrid return

Argentine midfielder Nico Paz has expressed satisfaction with his decision to remain at Como rather than returning to Real Madrid. Despite interest from the Spanish club this summer, Paz chose to stay in Italy to secure more playing time and continue his development, citing heavy competition at Real Madrid from players like Jude Bellingham and Arda Güler.

Como secured Paz's permanent transfer from Real Madrid for 60 million euros. As part of the agreement, Real Madrid retained a buy-back option set at 80 million euros, which can be activated in the summer of 2027.

Paz recently delivered a standout performance in the Champions League, recording two assists in Como's 4-1 victory against RB Leipzig. Under the management of Cesc Fàbregas, the 21-year-old has established himself as a key figure for the club, attracting interest from Premier League sides including Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham.
