Bentley Hoogerdyk wins Bear Mountain golf title with playoff hole-in-one

Bentley Hoogerdyk, a 13-year-old golfer from Langford, secured his second consecutive Bear Mountain Golf Club Championship with a dramatic hole-in-one during a playoff. After 36 holes, Hoogerdyk and Fraser Mackie were tied at nine-over-par, forcing a playoff on the 129-yard 10th hole of the Mountain Course. Hoogerdyk used an eight-iron to strike the ball, which landed directly in the cup.

In a separate regional event, the Nico Wynd Golf Course Senior Men’s League Club Championship concluded in South Surrey. The tournament featured 50 members competing for Gross Score and Net Score titles under dry weather conditions. Notable performances included Jamie Mills and Ben Silvers tying for the lead on the first day, while several players achieved net scores in the 60s.
