Nicolò Bulega wins 2026 World Superbike Championship

Nicolò Bulega has secured the 2026 World Superbike (WorldSBK) Championship, clinching the title at the Cremona Circuit in Italy. Riding for the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team, Bulega secured the championship with two rounds to spare after finishing second in Race 2.

Bulega’s season was marked by historic dominance, including 26 victories and a record-breaking streak of 10 consecutive pole positions. He becomes the first Italian to win a Superbike World Championship with Ducati and the second Italian overall to win the title, following Max Biaggi.

While Bulega took the championship, his teammate Iker Lecuona dominated the race weekend in Cremona, achieving a triple victory by winning Race 1, the Superpole Race, and Race 2. The event drew a record crowd of approximately 46,000 spectators to the Cremona Circuit. Ducati racing director Luigi Dall’Igna attributed the success to the integrated development between the racing and street motorcycle departments, specifically noting the performance of the Panigale V4R.
