Nicola Fratoianni calls for united opposition protests in Italy

Nicola Fratoianni, leader of Avs, has called for a unified mobilization of political opposition parties to protest against the current government. Speaking at the Avs national assembly in Rome, Fratoianni emphasized that political programs must move beyond party discussions to inspire collective hope through public demonstrations.

He proposed organizing a large, popular, and unitary protest to address issues such as the cost of living, the need for dignified wages, and opposition to war and rearmament. Fratoianni specifically criticized the government's budget maneuvers, alleging that resources are being diverted from labor to military spending, citing 14 billion euros allocated for weapons.

Fratoianni stated that the proposal for a joint demonstration is open to all, suggesting that opposition leaders should collaborate to decide on the format, date, and location of the event.
