Nicola Piovani celebrates Bronzi di Riace in Reggio Calabria

Oscar-winning composer Nicola Piovani performed in Piazza De Nava to celebrate the 54th anniversary of the discovery of the Bronzi di Riace. The event, titled ‘Note a margine’, served as the conclusion to the ‘I Bronzi di Riace. La Calabria del Mito’ project, an initiative promoted by the Calabria Region under regional law n. 19 of 2023.

The performance took place within the setting of the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria, blending music with the historical and mythological significance of the ancient bronze statues. The project included various locations across the region, such as Vibo Valentia, Cosenza, Catanzaro, Crotone, Sibari, Riace, and Locri, before concluding in Reggio Calabria.
