Nicolaas Veul documentary sets VPRO streaming record

The documentary series ‘100 dagen in de gehandicaptenzorg’ (100 Days in Disability Care) by Nicolaas Veul has reached two million streams within three weeks. According to NPO and VPRO, this achievement sets a new streaming record for the VPRO.

The series, which follows Veul as he works within the disability care sector, has received high critical acclaim and a viewer rating of 8.6, making it the highest-rated NPO program of the current season. VPRO editor-in-chief Sarah Sylbing noted that the success demonstrates a viewer preference for engaging, substantive storytelling.

Veul reported receiving significant feedback from both healthcare professionals and families. He emphasized that the series aims to bring visibility and support to the world of disability care.
