Nicolae Stanciu targeted by multiple Romanian clubs for potential return

Romanian international midfielder Nicolae Stanciu is a primary target for several SuperLiga clubs as he considers a potential return to Romanian football. Currently playing for the Chinese club Dalian Yingbo under a contract that runs until December 31, 2026, Stanciu has attracted interest from FCSB, U Cluj, and Universitatea Craiova.

Universitatea Craiova has reportedly entered negotiations to secure the 33-year-old, potentially utilizing funds earned from their participation in the UEFA Conference League to fund a significant financial offer. While club owner Mihai Rotaru declined to comment on specific negotiations, stating, “I do not discuss such subjects,” reports suggest the club aims to match or approach Stanciu’s current net annual salary of approximately one million euros.

Stanciu has expressed respect for his current club in China, noting that the staff treats him incredibly well and that they hold the first option on his future. However, competition for his signature remains high among the top Romanian teams.
