Nicolas Bosshardt returns to São Paulo training after fatal accident

São Paulo FC left-back Nicolas Bosshardt has returned to team training following his recent absence. The 19-year-old player had been sidelined since August 4 after a fatal traffic accident in Barueri, where he struck and killed an 84-year-old man.

Following a custody hearing, Nicolas was granted provisional liberty but must adhere to several precautionary measures. These include monthly appearances in court to justify his activities, maintaining an updated address, and obtaining judicial authorization to leave his residence for more than eight days. His driver's license has been suspended, and his vehicle and mobile phone were seized for forensic analysis.

The incident occurred on the night of August 3 while the player was leaving a shopping center. While a witness alleged the vehicle was involved in street racing, the players involved have denied this claim. Nicolas provided assistance to the victim at the scene before being detained.
