Nicolas Dupont-Aignan launches 2027 presidential campaign

Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, leader of Debout la France, has officially launched his campaign for the 2027 French presidential election. During his political relaunch in Yerres, he centered his platform on a ‘Frexit’—the withdrawal of France from the European Union—which he claims is necessary to ‘decolonize France’ and restore national sovereignty.

His proposed program emphasizes reindustrialization, institutional reform, and regaining control over economic, budgetary, and migratory policies. Additionally, Dupont-Aignan has called for an end to financial aid for Ukraine, advocating for a peace policy to alleviate the perceived burden on French citizens. He criticized current European Union leadership and policies, including carbon taxes and the expansion of EU membership.
