Nicolas Raskin stays at Rangers after Besiktas transfer collapse

Negotiations between Rangers and Turkish club Besiktas for midfielder Nicolas Raskin have collapsed. Besiktas had proposed a loan deal that included an option to buy, a structure that Rangers' ownership reportedly rejected to avoid losing the player without financial security.

Raskin, a Belgian international, had previously expressed a desire to leave Ibrox, leading the club to set an asking price in the £15m to £20m range. While Hull City reportedly made an attempt, they withdrew after Rangers refused to lower their valuation.

Following the breakdown of the Turkish move, Rangers manager Derek McInnes stated he has reached an understanding with the 25-year-old to refocus on his role at the club. While Raskin is expected to remain at Rangers for the current period, the club may consider offers for him during the January transfer window.
