Nicolas Tagliafico linked with Nottingham Forest as Argentina prepares for World Cup final

Olympique Lyonnais left‑back Nicolas Tagliafico, 34, is reported to be in advanced discussions with English Premier League side Nottingham Forest. The transfer rumours follow earlier interest from clubs such as Olympiakos and Deportivo La Coruña, but the latest reports indicate Forest has opened talks as his Lyon contract approaches its end.

Tagliafico will also feature for Argentina in the upcoming World Cup final, his fourth appearance at a major tournament final. The Argentine defender has earned 82 caps, won Copa América titles in 2021 and 2024, and played in the 2022 final against France. He aims to help the Albiceleste secure another championship on 19 July.
