Nicolas Willaume wins burger competition at Bien Bon! festival

The Bien Bon! festival, part of the Grand Avignon event, held a food truck competition at Place Charles-David in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon. Approximately 30 food trucks participated, offering diverse cuisines ranging from Mediterranean and Asian to Caribbean and Moroccan, with a focus on seasonal, local products and eco-friendly packaging.

A jury including Michelin-starred chefs evaluated entries across three categories: burgers, Mediterranean cuisine, and world cuisine. Nicolas Willaume won the burger category with his ‘Souvenir du Prieuré’ burger, which features hazelnut bread, chanterelle mushrooms, duck steak, 24-month aged Comté, and coppa.

Other winners included Ô Churrasco for the world cuisine category with cod accras and banana bites, and Ô Saveurs de Mimi for the Mediterranean cuisine category. The event, which has been a local tradition for over a decade, aims to boost the visibility and attractiveness of the municipality.
