Nicole Eggert recalls uncomfortable 1995 Howard Stern interview

Actress Nicole Eggert has reflected on her 1995 interview with Howard Stern, describing the experience as uncomfortable and the studio as lacking a ‘safe environment.’ In the oral history ‘The Great American Nightmare’ by author Greg Prato, Eggert recalled feeling pressured to comply with the high-rated radio host to avoid upsetting career managers.

Eggert noted that during the segment, Stern criticized her attire and demanded she wear a bikini. She stated that she is proud of the fact that she refused the demand. Looking back at the footage, Eggert expressed a desire to comfort her younger self and remarked that the treatment of women on the show was ‘shocking.’

The book also touches on other controversial moments from the show’s history, including a 1995 incident involving former personality Chaunce Hayden and the ashes of fan Debbie Tay, which resulted in a settled lawsuit.
