Nicole Kidman expresses interest in Dune franchise

Actress Nicole Kidman expressed her admiration for Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune” film series during a conversation with Sandra Bullock for Vogue’s “Off-the-Cuff” series. Describing herself as a “Dunie,” Kidman stated she is “obsessed” with the franchise and would have loved to be part of a sequel, noting that she had not been approached for a role.

Kidman later clarified that she might prefer to remain a fan in the audience rather than appearing in the films. She previously shared her enthusiasm for the series during a Variety “Actors on Actors” interview with Zendaya, mentioning she had seen the films in theaters.

Kidman’s comments come as she promotes the sequel to “Practical Magic,” which is scheduled for theatrical release on September 11.
