Nicole Malizia wins original songs category at Terni canta d’autore

Nicole Malizia won the original songs category at the ‘Terni canta d’autore’ music festival held in Piazza San Pietro. Her winning song, ‘Incantata’, was inspired by the life and sensitivity of the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh.

The event, dedicated to the songwriter Sergio Endrigo, featured various awards. Matilde De Quarti took second place in the original songs category with ‘Il tempo vola’, while 14-year-old Matteo Rucco placed third with ‘Cuore cantautore’. Daniele Caprari received the award for Best Interpretation for his performance of Marco Masini’s ‘Ci vorrebbe il mare’.

Other special recognitions included Micol Pocetta for Best Lyrics and Fabio Mongelli for the Environmental Theme award. The evening opened with a tribute to Endrigo by Stefano Pitasi.
