Nicoleta Voicu seeks biological parents after 54 years

Romanian folk singer Nicoleta Voicu, 54, is seeking to discover her biological parents after being abandoned at birth in a Galați maternity ward. Although she was adopted by a loving family from Buzău at the age of two and describes having a happy, well-educated childhood, she has felt a persistent need to understand her origins.

Voicu learned she was adopted when she was 10 years old. She is currently attempting to find the truth regarding her lineage, noting that her biological mother may have been a chemistry student in Galați. She expressed a desire to clear up rumors regarding her birth and stated that her motivation is not material, but rather a personal need to understand her heritage and identity.
