Nicolás Bernal prepares new suspense film in Soacha

Filmmaker Nicolás Bernal is preparing to shoot his new suspense and mystery short film, ‘La otra vida de Valeria’. The production aims to showcase the cinematic potential of Soacha, Colombia, as a central setting for local stories intended for international audiences.

The plot follows Valeria, a woman living a seemingly stable life whose long-held secrets begin to surface, threatening her relationship and her current reality. The cast includes model and actress Shanaia Zamek, Tian Hernández, Alejandro Romero, and Uwaldo Bernal, with a special appearance by actor David Ramírez López.

Bernal’s previous work, ‘El Teatro: Cuidado con lo que deseas’, recently gained international exposure through the Ohio Festival in the United States, reinforcing his goal of bringing regional Colombian narratives to a global stage.
