Nicolás Jarry returns to professional tennis at Cali Challenger

Chilean tennis player Nicolás Jarry is set to return to professional competition at the Challenger 75 in Cali, Colombia, following a six-month absence due to a right elbow injury. Jarry, who entered the tournament via a wildcard, has seen his ATP ranking drop from 204 to 867 during his period of inactivity.

His first-round match will be a matchup against fellow Chilean Tomás Barrios. While the two players previously met in Challenger qualifying rounds in 2016 and 2017, this marks their first official meeting in a main draw. The match is scheduled for Monday, October 19.
