Nicolás Lantos releases book on global systemic collapse

In his new book, “El tecnato del fin del mundo” (Ediciones Futurock), political analyst and journalist Nicolás Lantos documents a critical six month period between December 2025 and June 2026. The work examines the implosion of the global order following a decade of systemic failures.

Lantos argues that the global technological and economic elite have shifted from seeking a collective future to pursuing individual survival amidst climate, social, and economic collapses. He describes this phenomenon as “capitalism without humans in the circuit,” where the ultra-wealthy attempt to accumulate enough power to retreat into private bunkers.

The book connects various real-world events, such as land acquisitions in Patagonia by Qatari royalty and the promotion of authoritarian ideologies by Silicon Valley figures like Peter Thiel and Curtis Yarvin. Lantos explores how these actors advocate for replacing traditional democracies with “charter cities” or anarcho-capitalist enclaves.
