Nicolás Pareja faces trial in Spain over alleged electricity fraud

Former Argentine national team defender Nicolás Pareja is facing trial in Spain regarding the alleged irregular supply of electricity at his residence in Alcalá de Guadaíra, Seville. The case, classified as a minor offense of electricity fraud, was initiated following a complaint from a neighbor in the Real Club Sevilla Golf complex.

The prosecution has requested a ten-month fine. In his defense, Pareja maintains that the controversial electrical installation was already in place prior to his acquisition of the property. The case is currently before the Civil and Instruction Section of the Court of First Instance of Alcalá de Guadaíra, which will determine if a financial sanction is warranted.
