Nicolás Soria denies charges in Loan Danilo Peña disappearance trial
Nicolás Gabriel “Americano” Soria, one of the defendants accused of diverting the investigation into the disappearance of Loan Danilo Peña, testified during a trial held at the National Gendarmerie's 48th Squadron. Soria denied all charges against him, including usurpation of titles, unlawful deprivation of liberty, and manipulation of testimony.
Soria claimed he traveled to Corrientes specifically to find the child and stated he acted “always in good faith,” noting he spent approximately $4 million to assist in search operations. He also rejected allegations of political ties and questioned reports regarding a supposed attack on authority.
The disappearance of Loan Danilo Peña occurred on June 13, 2024, following a lunch at his grandmother's house. The case involves multiple defendants, including former municipal official María Victoria Caillava, Navy Captain Carlos Guido Pérez, and several other individuals currently facing trial.
