Nicolás Vallejo-Nágera appeals Florida court ruling on son's custody

Spanish entrepreneur Nicolás Vallejo-Nágera, known as Colate, has spoken out following a Florida court ruling regarding the custody and residence of his 15-year-old son, Nico. The court determined that the teenager will continue to reside in Miami with his mother, Mexican singer Paulina Rubio, citing reports that the minor feels happy under her care.

Vallejo-Nágera has contested this decision, alleging irregularities in the judicial process. He claims the ruling was made hastily while the teenager was traveling back to the United States after a vacation in Madrid. He further alleged that his son has expressed a strong desire to move to Spain due to an unlivable environment in his mother's home, citing episodes of tension that reportedly required intervention from Miami police and social services.

Despite the recent setback, Vallejo-Nágera announced he is pursuing legal recourse. He has filed an extensive appeal with over 70 points to challenge the Miami court's decision and continue the long-standing legal battle that began following his separation from Rubio in 2014.
