Nicolás Vallejo-Nágera faces custody dispute and FIFA lawsuit

Nicolás ‘Colate’ Vallejo-Nágera is facing multiple legal challenges involving both his family life and his role as provisional president of CD Badajoz.

In a continuing custody dispute with singer Paulina Rubio, Vallejo-Nágera has appealed a judicial decision in Miami that requires their son, Andrea Nicolás, to reside in the United States. Vallejo-Nágera argues that the teenager has deep roots in Spain, citing extensive family connections and a desire to live there. He maintains that the boy considers Pedraza, Spain, his home due to the stability and family environment provided there.

Simultaneously, CD Badajoz has filed a lawsuit against FIFA in a Miami court. The club is seeking compensation between 4 and 8 million dollars, alleging that negligence within FIFA’s compliance office led to an administrative block that threatened the institution's economic and sporting survival. The legal action specifically targets the organization's player registration department, seeking a jury trial to determine responsibility for the alleged damages.
