Nicolás Varrone discusses future career options in F1 and endurance racing

Argentine racing driver Nicolás Varrone has discussed his career prospects as he navigates his first Formula 2 season with Van Amersfoort Racing. Currently positioned 19th in the championship with 14 points after nine rounds, Varrone is evaluating multiple paths for his future in 2027.

Varrone stated that several options remain on the table, including IndyCar, Formula 2, Formula 1, IMSA, and WEC. While he expressed a strong interest in endurance racing with Corvette and IMSA, he noted that a Formula 1 test remains a possibility. He emphasized that his ability to pursue these opportunities depends on improving his performance during the second half of the Formula 2 season, which resumes in Monza.

Reflecting on his current season, the 25-year-old driver described the transition to Formula 2 as more significant and challenging than anticipated. He noted early successes in Melbourne, Miami, and Canada, followed by a period of difficulty during the European races. He is currently working with his team to refine their approach for the remainder of the year.
