Nicosia medical students appear in court over car rental fraud

Two medical students, identified as M. A. M. and B. S., appeared in court in Nicosia regarding a fraudulent car rental scheme. The suspects are accused of using a fake car rental website to defraud a victim of 317,000 TL.

Police investigations revealed that the victim's payment was transferred first to B. S.'s account and subsequently to M. A. M.'s account. Following their arrests, the court ordered a travel ban for both individuals. They were released on bail, requiring a cash deposit of 80,000 TL each and a guarantee bond of 600,000 TL per person.
