Nicușor Dan meets Venice Commission delegation on rule of law

Romanian President Nicușor Dan met with a delegation from the Venice Commission at Cotroceni Palace to discuss the strengthening of the rule of law and the role of democratic institutions. The delegation was led by Commission President Marta Cartabia and included Simona Granata-Menghini, Vice-President Eirik Holmøyvik, and other legal experts.

During the meeting, President Dan reaffirmed Romania’s commitment to institutional balance, transparency, and adherence to European standards regarding democracy and the rule of law. He emphasized that open dialogue with European experts is essential for maintaining constitutional principles.
