U Cluj targets Romanian internationals Stanciu and Burcă

Romanian football club U Cluj is reportedly finalizing major transfers for the winter period, targeting two prominent national team players currently playing in China: Nicolae Stanciu and Andrei Burcă.

Andrei Burcă, a 33-year-old central defender currently with Yunnan Yukun, has reportedly reached an agreement in principle to return to Romania. His contract in China expires at the end of December, allowing for a move without direct negotiations with his current club. Burcă, who previously won three titles with CFR Cluj, is valued at approximately 1.5 million euros.

Simultaneously, the club is in advanced discussions with midfielder Nicolae Stanciu. Club president Radu Constantea confirmed that while discussions have progressed, no final agreement has been signed yet. Stanciu, also 33, is currently with Dalian Yingbo and is looking to return to his home region near Alba Iulia. The potential arrival of these experienced internationals is seen as a significant move to bolster U Cluj's ambitions for the SuperLiga title.
