Nida Khan granted bail in TCS religious conversion case
A court in Nashik has granted bail to Nida Khan, the fifth accused in a case involving alleged religious conversion and harassment at a TCS office. Khan was granted bail by Justice Kharakar on a bond of 50,000 rupees, subject to the condition that she reports regularly to the Mumbai Naka Police Station to assist with the ongoing investigation.
The case originated from a complaint filed in February 2026, alleging that employees at the TCS facility were pressured to perform prayers, adopt Islamic customs, and convert to Islam. The complaint also included allegations of offensive remarks regarding Hinduism. Following an investigation that involved undercover female constables posing as housekeeping staff, several individuals were identified as suspects.
While four individuals—Tausif Bilal Attar, Danish Ejaz Sheikh, Shahrukh Hussain Shaukat Qureshi, and Raza Rafiq Meman—were initially named, Khan was added to the case later during the police inquiry. Her legal counsel cited her cooperation with investigators and her pregnancy as grounds for the bail request.
