Nida Nur Nergiz appointed chief physician in Erzincan
Nida Nur Nergiz has been appointed as the chief physician of the Erzincan 112 Emergency Health Command Center. Nergiz, a medical doctor, was previously a student at Mersin University Faculty of Medicine when she was the victim of a shotgun attack in 2023.
The attack was carried out by Ersin Karakuş, a technician at the Mersin University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, in front of a female student dormitory. As a result of the assault, Nergiz lost her right leg. The perpetrator was later apprehended and arrested in Adana.
Following her recovery and rehabilitation, Nergiz continued her medical studies at Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University Faculty of Medicine. After completing her education, she began her professional career in Erzincan and has now assumed her new leadership role. Erzincan Governor Hamza Aydoğdu and Provincial Health Director Dr. Cihan Tekin met with Nergiz to congratulate her on her appointment.
