NIDA Poll: Thais express dissatisfaction with Israeli nationals' conduct
A NIDA Poll survey conducted in September 2026 reveals significant public dissatisfaction regarding the behavior of Israeli nationals in Thailand. Among respondents who had heard news or had direct experience with inappropriate or illegal conduct, 71.22% cited a lack of respect for the law as a primary concern.
Other major grievances identified in the survey include disrespectful speech or condescension toward Thai people (46.39%), lack of respect for Thai culture (45.96%), and disregard for local community lifestyles (40.03%). The poll also highlighted concerns regarding the use of Thai nominees to hold land (31.44%) and businesses (29.04%).
Approximately 76.38% of the 1,410 surveyed individuals reported hearing about such behaviors through various media outlets, while 5.11% reported having direct personal experience. The findings reflect a growing call for the Thai government to strictly enforce existing laws.
