Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University sees high demand for new technology programs

Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University has reported high demand for its newly established programs focused on 'future professions.' These programs cover sectors such as technology, energy, environment, agriculture, and artificial intelligence.

Specific fields attracting students include Medical Data Processing, Smart Greenhouse Technologies, Hydrogen and Energy Storage, Environmental Measurement and Monitoring Systems, Water and Waste Management, Unmanned Vehicle Technology, and Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. Some of these programs have reached occupancy rates exceeding 100 percent.

Enrollment data shows that 256 students joined these programs in 2025, increasing to 280 students in 2026, bringing the two-year total to 536 students. Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu stated that the university aims to provide the qualified human resources required by the country by focusing on both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
