Niğde municipality provides stationery kits and refreshments for LGS exam participants

On 14 June 2026, the Niğde municipality, led by Mayor Emrah Özdemir, supported students taking the national Liselere Geçiş Sistemi (LGS) exam. Municipal teams distributed stationery sets containing pens, erasers and other basic supplies to examinees at the test centres.

At the same time, staff set up tables in school courtyards to offer simit and beverages to parents waiting outside. Mayor Özdemir attached a note to each kit wishing the young candidates success and emphasizing the importance of education.

The initiative was described by local officials as a morale‑boosting gesture for both students and their families during the high‑stakes centralised exam.
