Niğde stakeholders meet for KOP Discovery Center project
Stakeholders gathered in Niğde to coordinate the ‘Niğde Educated New Generation KOP Discovery Center’ project. Supported by the Konya Ovası Projesi (KOP) Regional Development Administration as part of the ‘KOP Reading’ initiative, the project aims to enhance reading culture, support educational processes, and strengthen the social and personal development of children and youth.
The Niğde Probation Directorate is leading the project, with Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University serving as the primary stakeholder. Other supporting organizations include the Niğde Branch of the Turkish Green Crescent and the Niğde Public Education Center Directorate.
A coordination meeting held on September 10, 2026, at the Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Continuing Education Center (NÜSEM) addressed inter-institutional cooperation. The project also focuses on raising awareness regarding addiction and increasing life skills through various workshops, cultural activities, and educational programs.
