Nido Livensa sells five Portuguese student residences for 80 million euros
Nido Livensa, a European student accommodation operator, has sold five student residences in Portugal for approximately 80 million euros. The properties, which provide a total of 883 beds, are located in Lisbon and Porto, specifically in Carcavelos, Ajuda, Santa Apolónia, Estoril, and Asprela.
The sale to Ardian and Rockfield is part of the group’s active portfolio management strategy, aimed at freeing capital from mature assets to reinvest in new development and acquisition opportunities across Europe. CEO Carlo Matta stated that the move allows the company to respond to the continuous demand for quality student housing while maintaining a presence in Portugal through existing residences in Coimbra, Lisbon, and Porto.
Supported by CPP Investments, Nido Livensa aims to expand its operations to 25,000 beds by 2031, focusing on markets such as Italy, Germany, and the Iberian Peninsula.
