Niebieszczany celebrates 100 years of St. Nicholas Church

On August 30, 2026, the Church of St. Nicholas in Niebieszczany held a ceremony to mark the 100th anniversary of its construction and to consecrate its altar.

Archbishop Adam Szal, the Metropolitan of Przemyśl, presided over the prayer and delivered a homily. During his address, he described the temple as the ‘house of God’ and a place set apart from secular use, referring to it as an ‘embassy of God’ that brings a piece of heaven to earth. He emphasized the spiritual significance of the tabernacle and the altar as central elements of the Eucharist.
