Niek Bar and Ben Kim Play at Ohrid Summer Festival Dutch Evening

Violinist Niek Bar and pianist Ben Kim performed on the Dutch evening of the 66th Ohrid Summer Festival in the St. Sofia church in Ohrid, North Macedonia. The concert featured works by César Franck, Francis Poulenc and Franz Schubert.

Bar, a Dutch virtuoso born in Rotterdam in 1991, is a former winner of the Oscar Bach competition (2018) and studied at the Hochschule für Musik "Hans Eisler" in Berlin. He performs on a 1729 Carlo Bergonzi violin and has appeared with the Berlin Philharmonic, Concertgebouw, Gewandhaus and other leading European orchestras. Kim, born in Portland, USA, won the 55th ARD piano competition in Munich and studied in Italy and Berlin. He has performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
