Nielsen to acquire DoubleVerify for $2.15 billion

Audience‑measurement firm Nielsen announced an all‑cash acquisition of digital‑media verification company DoubleVerify. The transaction values DoubleVerify at roughly $2.15 billion (€1.87 billion), or $13.60 per share, representing a 30 % premium to its recent price.

Nielsen CEO Karthik Rao said the deal will deepen Nielsen’s capabilities in digital media, uniting the two firms to provide independent, end‑to‑end measurement across every screen and channel. DoubleVerify CEO Mark Zagorski highlighted the combined AI‑powered platform and cross‑screen audience measurement that will help advertisers verify spend reaches real people in brand‑suitable environments. The acquisition aims to strengthen trust and independence in advertising as the industry shifts toward automated, data‑driven workflows.
