Nienburg district seeks new members for disability advisory board

The Nienburg district is seeking new members for its advisory board for people with disabilities for the upcoming legislative period running from November 1, 2026, to October 31, 2031.

Board chair Heidi Fellhauer noted that the role allows members to exert direct influence on local policy and achieve visible improvements in daily life for people with disabilities. The district is specifically encouraging parents of affected children to apply, as they provide expert perspectives on the interests of minors.

To be eligible, applicants must reside in the Nienburg district, be of legal age, and hold a severe disability certificate of at least 50% (or be the parent of a minor with such a certificate). The nomination period is open from September 1 to September 30, 2026.
