Burg auf Fehmarn opens new emergency rescue station

A new emergency rescue station has officially opened in Burg auf Fehmarn, marking a significant development for the island’s emergency services. The opening ceremony included representatives from local government, politics, and the healthcare sector, including Mayor Jörg Weber and Bürgervorsteher Holger Micheel-Sprenger.

Officials from the Ameos Clinic and the Burg fire department also attended the event. District Administrator Timo Gaarz described the new facility as more than just an investment in safety infrastructure for the Ostholstein district.
