Nieuw Boekhorst residents gather to foster community connections

More than 200 people gathered in Voorhout for the ‘Buur&Buurt Samen Doen!’ event to foster community connections in the new Nieuw Boekhorst district. The meeting brought together current residents, future inhabitants, and local neighbors to discuss ideas for developing the neighborhood.

Activities included a parade by the St. Cecilia drum fanfare, sports and games organized by Combibrug, and discussions led by Welzijn Teylingen regarding resident wishes for the area. Participants are already utilizing neighborhood apps to share garden produce and offer mutual assistance. The event was a collaborative effort involving the Municipality of Teylingen and several local organizations.
