Nigel Farage calls for Reform UK voter re-engagement
Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK, has acknowledged that the party must work to re-activate its voter base following a “difficult summer” characterized by declining public support and internal controversies. Speaking at a party event in Westminster, Farage addressed a room with numerous empty seats, attributing the low attendance to “official incompetence” regarding the timing of the business-oriented event on a Monday afternoon.
Recent Ipsos polling places Reform UK 12 percentage points behind the Labour Party and four points behind the Conservative Party. Farage expressed optimism, suggesting that future elections centered on themes of Europe and immigration could revitalize party enthusiasm.
In a related development, Reform UK financial spokesperson Robert Jenrick presented a 64-point “economic rescue” plan aimed at job creation. The proposals, released ahead of Chancellor John Healey’s first budget, include support for the Rosebank oil field and other North Sea projects, the broader use of imperial units, and the banning of low-emission vehicle zones.
